I must admit that I was a little unsure about this book. It's classified as a YA, and I honestly am out of my teens by a score of years, so I couldn't help thinking it wasn't going to be a read for me. But ,oh boy was I wrong....

Being the missed detective that I am, I couldn't help but love the whole idea of this novel. The journal entries and the whole detective research with the suspenseful twists, were right up my line. Pip reminded me of a 21st century Poirot, so methodical and brilliant with the way she captures every little detail. I enjoyed this novel very much and I think anyone who loves watching true crime on TV cannot but appreciate what this author has created. The fact the Miss Jackson is British only made the whole story more relatable. Can't wait to read the sequel now...

Five stars for me!
