I have to admit I had some issues with this book. The beginning was all over the place. The author has the habit of starting chapters inside somebody's thoughts and new characters are introduced without the reader having a clue as to how they matter to the story. Not to mention that they weren't relatable. I had to go back a few times and reread paragraphs so that I could understand what was happening. I'm sure it was meant to be written this way and many of you will probably view this as very clever, but for me, it was just extremely confusing. About halfway through the book, I started to get the grasp of where the author was leading me and Cummins did a brilliant job of tying all the loose strings together. So if you fancy a dark, macabre and at times disturbing thriller (and don't mind your brain being spin-dried while trying to figure everything out) don't miss out on this one.

3,5 stars out of 5!
