Home before Dark by Riley Sager 4****+

I read this book straight after reading The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. Both books are about haunted houses and I couldn’t help comparison. Whereas this was a great read (I loved the story within the story) it didn’t freak me out the way the former book did. That is the only reason I’m giving it 4,5 stars. That being said, the twists and turns were brilliant and it kept me turning the pages eagerly, to find out what was going on in that house. This is my second Sager book and I notice he has a great gift for leading the reader down the wrong path only to surprise you with a great twist near the end! Loved it!
