New Single 'Leave the Door open' - B. Mars, A. Paak (aka Silk Sonic) released March 05th 2021

What a duo and what a song. This bomb was dropped upon us the other day, without forewarning! A Classic R&B old-school 70's which leaves you swinging long after the track has come to a smooth end.

Bruno Mars recounts in a recent interview that he called.Paak on his birthday and told him to come to the studio to record. .Paak showed up drunk because, well, it was his 25th birthday.

"It snowballed. And it was like, well, want to come back tomorrow? And we kept coming up with music. It felt like why you fall in love with music in the first place. And jamming with your buddy… There’s no plan, just working out the parts and trying to excite each other," Mars said.

The album's first track, Leave The Door Open, was released alongside a special intro track recorded by legendary funk master Bootsy Collins. It was he who came up with the Silk Sonic pseudonym of the new theatre duo. Leave The Door Open was produced by Bruno Mars and D'Mile, written by Bruno Mars, Anderson, Paak, D'Mile and Brody Brown. The duo is still tight-lipped when it comes to the release date of their album 'An Evening with Silk Sonic' but it will be sometime this year.
